Dance Kaleidoscope Presents “Love is. . .”

Popular Indianapolis performing arts groups, Dance Kaleidoscope, presents “Love Is. . .” at the Indiana Repertory Theatre this weekend. As one of Indianapolis culture’s most celebrated dance organizations, Dance Kaleidoscope is known for offering Indianapolis art refined choreography that is visually stimulating. “Love Is. . .” combines classical and modern dance with a variety of musical genres from Broadway to pop to classical. With original choreography from Butler University professor Cynthia Pratt, “Love Is. . .” promises to be a romantic exploration of the elusive nature of love. With music from Richard Rogers, George Gershwin, John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Frank Loesser, this Indianapolis theatre event offers something for everyone’s tastes.

Plus, Managing Director of the Indiana Repertory Theatre, Steven Stolen, joins Dance Kaleidoscope on stage to share is angelic voice. This tenor has performed across the Circle City with groups like Encore Vocal Arts. Now see him lend his vocal talents to the movement of some of Indianapolis finest dancers. With a variety of Indianapolis artists on stage, “Love Is. . .” is expected to be an energetic and entertaining evening.

In addition, the Kenyetta Dance Company’s Nicholas Owens will premiere a romantic new work. A native of Indiana, Owens has been dancing with Keyetta Dance Company since he was only thirteen years old. As her pursues a career in contemporary modern dance choreography, Owens has traveled the United States and Canada training and performing with some of the most highly acclaimed dance programs. He has performed in Indianapolis with the Indiana Ballet Company and Dance Kaleidoscope, in addition to his work with Kenyetta Dance Company. Don’t miss this brilliant choreographer’s latest offering.

Performances are Thursday at noon and 7:00 pm, Friday and Saturday at 8:00 pm and Sunday at 2:30 pm. Attend tomorrow’s mini-matinee of “Love Is. . .” at 12:00 pm for only $6.00. Tickets range from $21.00 to $37.00 depending on date of performance. Performed on the main stage at Indiana Repertory Theatre, “Love Is. . .” is an exciting Indianapolis event.
