Crackers Comedy – Broad Ripple Village: Michael Loftus

The Indianapolis cultural district, Broad Ripple Village, welcomes Michael Loftus to the Crackers Comedy Club location there. A Midwesterner at heart, Loftus began his career in Columbus, Ohio. There he founded a celebrated comedy troupe called Midwest Comedy Tool and Die. He honed his comic craft on audiences there before moving west to manifest his destiny.

In Los Angeles, California, Loftus began his pursuit of stand up. He got his first break at the Acme Comedy Theatre, where he was a writer and a performer. He has appeared on Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend,” and is the executive director of the hit ABC comedy series “The George Lopez Show.” In addition, he made the rounds on the nineties hit “Star Search” and was the creator of the NBC flop “Outsourced.”

Yet, his stand-up stands up to more scrutiny. He has created his very own comedy album and appeared on the Warner Bros. comedy album “Executive Privilege” and on “The Best of Bob and Tom” CD along side other talented comics like Kevin Pollack.

Though Loftus has made it big in the world of television sitcoms, he still pursues his true passion. Making folks laugh in person. He has performed in clubs across the United States, delivering high energy, off the cuff comedy to hundreds of crowds. Loftus takes on political cynicism and the world today while juggling the “red state, blue state” politics within his own family.

Don’t miss this hilarious comedian at the Broad Ripple Village Crackers Comedy Club Wednesday May 18 to Saturday May 21. Performances are at 8:30 pm Wednesday and Thursday and at 8:00 pm and 10:30 pm on Friday and Saturday. Tickets range from $10 to $20 depending on date and seating.

In addition, Short has made several appearances on Comedy Central stand up based programs like “Premium Blend” and “Shorties Watchin’ Shorties.”

He has also been seen on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” “NBC’ Late Friday,” and “A&E’s Comedy on the Road,” “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” and “The Late Show with David Letterman.” Short has proved himself as one of the funniest comedians in the West as he recently won the 29th Annual San Francisco International Comedy Festival.
