Morton’s Steakhouse Serves Up Celebs for Charity

We all know Gary Brackett for his impactful tackles on the field with the Indianapolis Colts, but this Indianapolis sports super star has a much softer side. This defensive end linebacker has his very own Indianapolis charity: the IMPACT Foundation. Monday, June 6 Brackett raises money for the IMPACT Foundation with a Celebrity Server’s Night at Morton’s Steakhouse in Indianapolis downtown. This Indianapolis event is sure to gain a lot of buzz as his Indianapolis Colts teammates trade in helmets and shin guards for aprons and trays. Tickets to this Indianapolis event are only $250 a person for fantastic service by famous servers at a fabulous Indianapolis restaurant. Plus, all the money raised goes directly to supporting the work of the IMPACT Foundation.

Founded in 2007, Brackett’s IMPACT Foundation is on a mission to “promote health, to advance education, and to relieve the poor, distressed and underprivileged” citizens of Indiana. The organization helps the needy sector by providing a variety of resources and opportunities to Indianapolis kids, including children who are mentally or physically challenged and children who are socially and economically disadvantaged.

With four main programs through the year, the IMPACT Foundation has created a reputation for success. Field of Dreams helps critically and chronically ill kids and their families by making dreams come true. Brackett has planned trips for these families in the midst of tragedy to lighten their load, even if its only for a week. In 2008, he invited 15 families spend some quality time with him at Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana, where they received a five star experience at West Baden Springs Hotel and Resort. He also uses his connections to Indianapolis sports teams like the Colts and the Indiana Pacers to provide VIP access to games throughout the year.
Another IMPACT Foundation program is Gary’s Locker, which provides patients and families access to electronics throughout their time in the hospital.  These “lockers,” full of notebook computers, movies and video games systems and more, have been placed in the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent, Clarian North Medical Center and Riley Hospital for Children.

TendHER Heart Luncheon is an annual luncheon to honor the moms behind the sick children, who make countless sacrifices to see their child happy and healthy. This brunch allows mothers to take a moment for themselves to enjoy a relaxing meal in good company. And finally, the Holiday Party, hosted by Gary and a few of Santa’s elves each year, makes holidays in the hospital a little more bearable. Santa delivers gifts to all the children, including siblings of sick kids.

To help Gary give back to the kids, reserve your ticket to the Celebrity Servers Night at Morton’s Steakhouse. Participating celebrities include Pat Angerer,  Deion Branch, Donald Brown, Kyle Devan, Eric Foster, Tarik Glenn, Mike Hart, Marlin Jackson, Robert Mathis, Jamie Silva, Jacob Tamme and more. Enjoy a cocktail reception and silent auction at 7:00 pm and dinner and a live auction at 8 pm. Enjoy a four course meal from Morton’s signature cuisine, fine wine and a celebrity waiter. Purchase a VIP table for ten guests for only $3000. Or get a single ticket for $250.
