Indianapolis Repertory Theater

What begins as a conversation between mature people devolves into a comedy of bad manners, where telling the difference between the kids and the grown-ups becomes next to impossible. Yasmina Reza’s edgy satire places audiences on the front line of a battle field where nothing is as it seems.

This songbird stars in her own “One-Nun-Sense” musical event. Take a seat in her Cabaret Classroom, where she uses her material from her debut show to teach audiences how to prepare and perform their own cabaret act.

August Osage County -The Weston family are all intelligent and emotional creatures who have the innate ability to torment each other. When the patriarch of the clan goes missing, the family is forced to assemble to both support and as a by product attack each other. As family secrets are revealed, burdens and grudges abound in this Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning play.

As the Cleveland Grand Opera Company faces imminent catastrophe when its star is hopped up on tranquilizers, making performance impossible. Can an aspiring singer named Mac take his place on center stage? As he attempts to impersonate the fallen star, shenanigans ensue including mistaken identities, romantic entanglements and all manner of fast-paced comedy.

Freedom Train – The remarkable story of Harriet Tubman lives on in this theatrical presentation. Though she was born a slave destined to live in a dire situation, she took control of her fate and the fate of those around leading more than 300 runaways to safety. Her incredible story as a conductor of the Underground Railroad has inspired generations of children to greatness. Hear an account of her self-sacrifice, dedication and endurance.

Actors Theatre of Indiana

Studio Theater, Indianapolis, IndianaGodspell – The classic Broadway show comes to the Studio Theater. Based on the Gospel According to Saint Matthew and featuring a brilliant score by Stephen Schwartz, “Godspell” features a string of well-known songs including “Day by Day,” “All Good Gifts,” “Turn Back O Man” and more. See the parables of Jesus Christ in a human light with upbeat songs and a strong message. Presented by the Actors Theater of Indiana.

Beef and Boards Dinner Theatre

The Dixie Swim Club – This sweet and poignant story of friendship follows five Southern women on their annual August getaway. The bonds they share were forged on their college swim team. See 37 years of love, laughter and meddling in each others lives as they retreat to their Beach Cottage each August.

Legally Blonde – You loved the movie starring Reese Witherspoon, now relive her Elle Woods’ triumphant tale in this pop rock musical. Woods doesn’t take no for an answer, not from her sorority sister or from Harvard Law. Along the way, this fashionista learns that being yourself never goes out of style.

Company – Meet Bobby, a single man celebrating his 35th birthday. His best friends: five married couples. His love life: juggling three girlfriends. The challenge: discover how to grow up and learn to commit. Through a series of vignettes linked together through his birthday festivities, Company is an enthralling musical comedy that will have you laughing out loud. This Tony Award winning musical features songs like “Side by Side by Side,” “What Would We Do Without You?” and “The Ladies Who Lunch.”

CCP’s Valentine’s Cabaret – Celebrate Valentine’s Day in style with the Carmel Community Players. Enjoy an all ages cabaret performance brimming with local talent that is sure to get you in the mood for celebrating the one you love.

Abraham Lincoln Hoosier Hero – As one of the greatest and most influential leaders of all time, Abraham Lincoln could teach us a thing or two. And he does in this one man performance that details his life from a Hoosier boy to a White House sensation. Plus, enjoy a question and answer session with the man in the stovepipe hat.

IndyFringe Theatre

The Trance Sisters: HypnoProv – The Trance Sister, Alpha and Theta, are a truly wacky pair. Their unique stage hypnosis/improvisation delivers laugh out loud entertainment. The show is a goofy combination of hypnosis, comedy, improv and audience participation.

Hooray for Speech Therapy with Kurt Fitzpatrick – A star of the 2011 Indy Fringe Festival returns to Indianapolis with his autobiographical comedy, which was part of the very first Fringe. From early childhood, Fitzpatrick suffered from stutter. Go with him on his speech therapy journey, where he transforms from a speechless kid to the man who put together this show.

French for “the impostor,” Tartuffe follows a pious fraud as he tricks a well to do family into bending to his whims. Filled with stock characters and classic comedy, this commedia dell’arte play still delights audiences today.
