2014 Art & Soul Kickoff This Friday

Hosted by the Arts Council of Indianapolis with support from Lilly Endowment Inc., the 2014 Art & Soul celebration will kickoff on January 31 at 12:00 pm. Located in the Indianapolis Artsgarden at the intersection of Washington and Illinois Street, this will be Art & Soul’s 18th year. The events will feature several Indiana African-American artists and works of art starting at the end of January and going all the way through March. All events are free unless otherwise noted.

Ash Robinson – Robinson’s site-specific installation places a larger-than-life “picket fence” among the Artsgarden olive trees which takes on the notion of the disappearing American Dream.
