I Love Lucy: Live On Stage

The classic American television sitcom I Love Lucy is coming to the Old National Center February 11-16 only not as a TV show, but as a live musical stage event. Step back in time and see Lucy, Ricky, Fred, and Ethel live on stage and in color.

I Love Lucy fans will love this tribute to the original iconic television show. With your ticket, you’ll become a member of the studio audience in 1952, awaiting the filming of two I Love Lucy episodes in The Desilu Studios. As such, you’ll get a first hand look at the behind-the-scenes process of taping the show–including applause signs, insertion shots, and multi-camera setups.

Watch as Lucy gets herself into oh-so-familiar shenanigans in the Ricardo’s New York Apartment and listen to “The Ricky Ricardo Orchestra” at the famous Tropicana Nightclub. Experience all Lucy’s signature wails, fluttering eyelids, and exaggerated facial expressions first hand.

During the breaks in the filming, the Crystaltone Singers sing their recognizable jingles for show sponsors and you’ll have to agree that there’s something special about seeing these commercials performed live.

With several dates to choose from, this would be a great show to take your significant other to for Valentine’s Day. There’s even one day left to save some money with a Groupon offer of 44% off. Lose yourself in a simpler time and laugh along to this hilarious 95-minute production as magical moments are recreated from the beloved I Love Lucy masterpiece.
